I got your mandate RIGHT HERE!

I knew the leftists would never admit that President Bush has a mandate. Republicans won the White House *again*, won more majority-sustaining seats in the House and Senate, won more state governorships, etc. President Bush is the first son of a former president to win re-election, he won more votes than any president in history, won the largest percentage of votes since his father won the presidency in 1988, won two formerly blue states (Iowa and New Mexico), and came closer to winning other blue states than he did in 2000 (Wisconsin by 1%, Minnesota by 3%, etc.). In 2000, he lost the popular vote by about 500,000 votes. This year, he improved that by FOUR MILLION votes (i.e. he won by 3.5 million votes). He did all this despite all the attacks thrown at him by the left: Michael Moore, George Soros, MoveOn.org, MTV, CBS, the New York Times, the Guardian, anti-war activists, etc.

Of course, CNN's election polls have shown that of the people who cast Kerry votes, 40% were actually voting for Kerry and 70% were voting against President Bush. Yes, that's 110%, so obviously 10% of the people polled chose both. So only 30% of Kerry votes were strictly for him. That translates to only about 16,784,822 votes. Include the 10% that said both, that still only comes to about 22,379,762 votes.

Like it or not, admit it or not, President Bush DOES have a mandate, thank you very much.

John Kerry received more popular votes than Reagan. And he ran as a true liberal, not as a "jump to the center"-crat like Bill Clinton. You have to admit its at least a little bit scary.

Bush has to be careful with his "mandate".

This is just the beginning. We are not bound by laws created by a neo-con/nazi junta. If you think we can be placated with some empty, symbolic "inclusion" rhetoric, you are wrong! We are not as stupid as the slogan wielding morons that voted for your side. And they will soon enough realize the futility of trying to pay down their bills with their moral values. I hope that the first thing they do is chop down the forests in your state and then dump nuclear waste all over the empty, desolate land.
I,for one, hope you get everything your asking for, right in your face!

Another eloquent, loving contribution from the "Looney Left". Headless Lucy needs to take advantage of this. And don't let the door hit you on the fanny on the way out.

Which raises the question (especially for Ms. Headless), what are they going to do, bleed on us?

It is such a sad and sorry thing to see poor people like yourselves becoming apologists for billionaires. What do you think, that they'll think that you're all such good "right" thinking boys and girls that they'll let a few of your own tax dollars "trickle" back down on you. You all better start figuring out who your real political friends are or you'll soon find yourself saying, "I can't believe it! We gave them our loyal support and they f***** us anyway." You'll see...

Not surprisingly, an "apologist for billionaires" is exactly what you are as a Kerry supporter, Lucy. And whereas President Bush has cut taxes, Kerry - like all good Democrats - would have raised them with bloated promises of future benefits "trickling" back to you. Sadly, I cast my vote for Clinton TWICE and I, as you so "eloquently" put it, got f*****. So did a lot of other people, which is why President Bush just won re-election instead of Al Gore.

So, you voted twice for Clinton. What changed you into a bulletheaded, Limbaughesque hack for the neo-cons? That voting twice for Clinton is a pretty huge skeleton in your ideological closet.

I voted for Clinton twice because I was young and stupid. I'm older and wiser now. Thankfully, so are a lot of other people. That's why President Bush has won the last two elections.

you're still young and stupid because you dodged the question. What, specifically, beside your youth and stupidity, caused you to change.

Foremost, I became a Christian after many years of being an atheist. That changed me completely and I could no longer support a party that supported the slaughter of unborn children and treated things like adultery and homosexuality as anything but sin.

Another thing was seeing Clinton convicted of lying under oath - an unquestionable felony - and being allowed to get away with it because of the Democrats. I take the law very seriously and to see the people who are charged with MAKING our laws ignore them p---ed me off.

Have you read "Blinded by the Right" , a book by a prominent right wing homosexual. And who are those "log" cabin Republicans?
