The trial of one of the protesters who interupted a speech by President Bush last September began this week. June Brashares faces up to a year in prison if convicted of kicking an RNC staffer - a kick that caused a deep gash in the staffer's leg. Here's a pic of the wonderful Miss Brashares:



Seeing that picture of her again suddenly reminded me of another woman: Rachel Corrie, an activist who was killed by a bulldozer while trying to stop the destruction of Palestinian homes.
