What that "prayer study" actually proved

Many on the left - particularly those of the agnostic/atheistic Christian-hating bent - are lauding the results of this study which supposedly shows prayers to God do nothing. Some have gone as far to say that this once again proves that God doesn't exist. Nothing could be farther from the truth. God is not a guinea pig and attempts to put him to the test will fail. God wants our prayers to be sincere and original, not meaningless and formulaic. God wants our prayers to be a petition that His will be done and not to be a means of proving that He exists and answers prayers.

In short, the only thing this "scientific" study proved is that a lot of people simply don't have a clue about God and Christians.
