"I believe it will rain after me."

Mukhtar Mai is a Pakistani woman who was raped by four village elders. Her story is horrific and maddening, but also inspiring. I was especially struck by what she said when asked what would happen if she were killed:

"I am just the first drop of water in the village," she says quietly. "I believe it will rain after me."
