Why I won't join Mensa
Because people like this represent the organization.
My IQ is in the low 150s. I could easily join Mensa, but I refuse to as long as so many of their representatives continue to be blatantly anti-Christian. This isn't the first time I've seen this sort of thing. I don't know why, but a lot of these allegedly intellectual people think that believing in God is either a cause or symptom of stupidity. Of course, history has shown this to be untrue. Many of the world's greatest thinkers have been Christians.
Besides, I don't need to belong to some organization whose primary purposes are to be a bragging point and some made-up indicator that supposedly makes your point of view more valid than another person's.
UPDATE: Well, I sent off an email to the author of the article explaining to her why her example of intellectual dishonesty and bigotry against Christians is exactly the reason why I won't join Mensa. I was utterly floored by her response:
"Please feel free to be set free by the truth by telling me the truth about where you obtained my email address."
You'd think a member of Mensa could've figured that out. It was no difficult feat. Apparently [allegedly] having a high IQ doesn't always mean someone is real sharp. I've been chuckling to myself and blinking in disbelief ever since I got her response.

You're a liar about your IQ. I can tell by your writing that you're an idiot.
That's nice. Go along and play now. The adults are talking.
