Atheistic, "kill God" movie trilogy is dead in the water
Excuse the Schadenfreude, but I'm very gleeful about this:
The movie tanked so badly that the second and third installments are not going to be made
And Christian-hater extraordinaire PZ Myers is pee-zeed (so much so he froths incoherently about the Chronicles of Narnia and Christians in general):
I have to compare it to the Narnia movie, though. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe was a great gilded turd, an awful piece of poor storytelling and suspension-of-disbelief shattering illogic
...
[The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe] had a guaranteed undiscerning and credulous audience.
Poor baby.
Oh, and notice how it's the filmmakers' fault that the film did so poorly. It wasn't the fault of Pullman, who shot himself in the foot when he admitted what the books were about and what his goal was. And, of course, it had nothing to do with the Christian (Catholic and Protestant) opposition to the film.
