Watch how Obama works here. First he builds up his audience, makes them feel safe and comfortable, and portrays himself as trustworthy. Then he turns around and injects unfounded doubts and worries. Finally, he portrays himself as the solution to those doubts and worries. I wouldn't be at all surprised if this was the sort of thing that dictators like Hitler did.
